The sunny kitchen featured four angled corners, which presented the biggest challenge to overcome. Luckily, Lisa has many years of experience in just this; her first kitchen design was octagonal!

This design embraces a quiet luminosity – where natural light, not gloss or bold colour, defines the atmosphere. A matte stone benchtop anchors the space with a soft, tactile presence, allowing dappled daylight to gently diffuse across the muted palette. The result is a calm, elevated environment that feels bright and timelessly understated.

The waterfall benchtop with negative detail comes together with subtle woodgrain cabinetry. The stone was carried up behind the hob, with the remaining wall space under the window matched with plain glass upstands. Glass Art attended bright and early to get this done for Jocelyn. The feature Uso Multi Tap was an essential choice to enable instant boiling and filtered water.

With new vinyl, carpet, and a refabricated bar space slotting into the renovation timeline, these dairy farmers’ revitalised living area is now set to entertain family, friends and more. Sitting with a freshly poured wine in hand, overlooking the Papamoa Hills, this definitely seems like the place to be and just tops off what is a gorgeously bright new kitchen.
