Mt Maunganui Surf Club

Tauranga’s Kitchens R Us team successfully installed a full fit-out for the Mount Maunganui Surf Club.

The Tauranga-based Kitchens R Us team was thrilled to have provided the beloved Mount Maunganui Surf Club with cubby holes for ample storage, two kitchens, two bar areas, the lifeguard tower, and the first aid room.

Kitchens R Us Tauranga was pleased to provide the Mount Surf Club with in-house and commercial kitchen fit-outs. This included customised cabinetry, both wooden and stainless steel, for the upstairs kitchen the surf lifesavers use and a commercial kitchen on the second floor of the establishment. These kitchens were given full fit-outs that included the expert installation of cabinets, countertops, drawers, and storage shelves. These two quintessential food-preparation spaces were expertly optimised in terms of their functionality and use of space.

An integral feature of every surf club, especially the Mount Maunganui Surf Club, is the lifeguard tower. This space was renewed with the installation of durable countertops and the necessary functional storage space for apparatus, emergency equipment, and personal belongings. Arguably just as important, if not more important than the lifeguard tower, is the first aid room. The Mount Maunganui Surf Club’s first aid room was thoroughly kitted out with high-quality cabinetry, sleek surfaces, and plenty of practical storage shelves. This allows first-aiders and medics to access necessary equipment and medical gear with ease in the case of an emergency. The organisation of this space is very important both for first aid training and the everyday use of the first aid facilities in medical scenarios.

The Kitchens R Us team installed custom-made cubby holes, using high-quality marine plywood, for the downstairs section. These are durable, functional, and very neatly done. The custom cubby holes are spacious and practical; perfect for storing any surf and beach-related equipment needed by the Mount Maunganui Surf Club.

The Kitchens team installed steel shelving for all the recreational and lifeguarding water vessels; surfboards, SUPs, kayaks, and paddles alike. These stainless steel shelves are sturdy and strong enough to safely stow away the Mount Maunganui Surf Club’s valuable surf gear. Because stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, it is the ideal material choice for watersports and surf-related apparatus that is in regular contact with saltwater.

The Tauranga-based Kitchens team also kitted out the upstairs and downstairs bar areas with high-quality countertops and cabinetry. Both bar areas present themselves as fresh and approachable for guests during events and functions.
