Maximising the stunning sea view was also a top priority, leading to the design of a breakfast bar to run parallel to the front windows, allowing for a scenic outlook while preparing meals or entertaining friends and family.

The material used for the cabinetry was Bestwood Melamine in Arctic White. This material choice and colourway gave the cabinetry a clean and crisp look. Bestwood Melamine is always a great choice not just for kitchens but for any interior project that needs to look good and also able to last the distance.

The benchtop was supplied by Pacific Stone, they chose the Calacatta Quartz Gold designer series engineered stone in 20mm with a waterfall leg. This is an exquisitely engineered stone that beautifully captures the timeless beauty of marble with its white background and prominent veins. This stone benchtop is also featured throughout the house in the 3 bathrooms and laundry to create a consistent and sophisticated finish to this waterfront home.

The elegant and ergonomic kitchen handles are by Archant, in Edge Straight in a brass finish to match the Mercer Aurora Brass Gooseneck tap. The sink chosen was the Bologna style by Acero, in white granite, with a brass waste & overflow. This sink was chosen for its size being 500mm wide where it can accommodate oven trays and larger items for ease of washing.

Lighting was also an important consideration for the space. The Hafele downlights that feature above the sink create extra task lighting to the sink area and Hafele LED warm white strip lighting is used beneath all the wall cabinets to give a soft glow to the benchtop surfaces at night.

Other clever accessories that were chosen to maximise storage were corner cabinets with carousel shelves, by Hafele that were used to create ease of access to large items. Additionally, a Hafele dispensa pantry pullout Oil and spice rack was added adjacent to the Hob. This product is ideal for storing cooking ingredients; it provides storage space, plus a clear view of all the contents.

The client is delighted with the outcome of their recently transformed kitchen, which has fit the original brief to make the most of their ocean view and to create more bench and storage space. The kitchen redesign has given them a revitalised and modern kitchen space. The careful selection of materials, colours, and finishes has made the kitchen not only a practical workspace but also a focal point of the home.
